I scream for Ice Cream

The 'Schöner Wohnen' magazine is one of my favorites, and is Europe's largest. 

I recently found this article I had saved from last August's edition on paper ice creams, free templates here. 

I had been looking for something for the otherwise neutral and sparse wall. Above the new TV. 

Their 3-Dimensional characteristics make them a fun balance to the historic ornate plaster ceiling. 

Gelato season is here in Europe and after this project, I have been craving some.

Florida 2016

Flower Art

Our German city apartment is over 200 years old with 10 foot ceilings. As in all rooms, I am after high impact pieces and art, a look all too often constricted due time and money. 

In the meantime, art inspired by the repetitious hanging of multiple botanical art pieces was installed in the bedroom.  

Pages from a coloring book were copied for five cents a sheet at the local paper store and colored pencils and markers customized each page.  

After several attempts to frame them with Washi Tape, I opted for a simple gold strip at the top of each page.
